Musings from the Playground is a blog whose purpose came into being when I discovered something important:
I do not know how to play. I am not even sure I know how to have fun.
I discovered this through a variety of life events that happened last year. The details are not important but the end result is. I have no idea how to play. How to play in a way that is healthy and satisfying to me. Play in a way the produces some joy, or endorphins, or fun. Play for the sole purpose of playing. The blog provides a place to share the experience of searching for play, and more importantly, how play benefits grown ups. We didn’t grow out of it, we just misplaced it somehow.
